I took the Mensa test in Denmark, which was based on a 20 min figure reasoning test, heavily dependent on speed (as seems not your strength). You're right, these tests are trainable. But, you have to be at least pretty smart in the first place to train yourself to the point where you can test as a genius or gifted.
